Shiza Hirani is an award-winning youth advocate, a current student at the Hill School of Business, University of Regina, and the Founder of Youth MentorNet Café, a youth-led initiative dedicated to empowering young people and building the capacity of high-school students across Canada and internationally. Through free virtual and in-person mentorship sessions, workshops, and over 100 open-access creative e-learning resources, Shiza has reached over 100,000 youths in 15+ countries. Her mentorship programs equip students with career guidance, financial literacy skills, and essential soft skills to navigate the challenges of post-secondary transitions and admissions. In 2025, Youth MentorNet Café was honored with the RCE Saskatchewan Education for Sustainable Development Recognition Award by the Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan.
On the global stage, Shiza serves as a United Nations Global Ambassador for Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education), amplifying youth voices and promoting equitable access to education worldwide. She is also the first youth from Saskatchewan appointed as an Advisory Board Member to Permanent Mission of Canada to the United Nations, representing the perspectives and priorities of young Canadians at the highest international level. Additionally, she contributes nationally as a member of Enactus Canada’s National Student Advisory Council, shaping programs that empower youth across the country.
Shiza’s dedication and impact have been recognized with more than 25 prestigious awards, including the Women Student Leaders in Business Administration Award, RBC Future Launch Award, Hill Business Students’ Society and Faculty of Business Administration Award, SaskEnergy Award, and the 2025 Henry Baker Scholar Award, presented by the Mayor of Regina in recognition of her academic excellence and philanthropic leadership.
